Jamie Oliver - Teach every child about food
Rewatching this clip from 2010, I am as sad today as I was when it first aired. Why? Because obesity is still a pandemic issue that has not slowed down despite the MASSIVE amount of information about food, dietary choices, lifestyle hacks, numbers of gyms, etc.
I am the second generation in my family where we were not taught to cook at home. I am working to shift that paradigm for my children. How? BY COOKING AT HOME. They kids go shopping with me where they help me read labels, look for certain seals of approval, pick out organic produce, etc. They know that we are not like other families and they are okay with it. Why? Because they see the difference in their health versus those other families.
IT STARTS AT HOME.
