Kenagyville Foodstuffs

10/11/2018

Who doesn't love a good food post to bring on all the insane munchies and comparison issues? I know, right?! So, in the spirit of being a good socialmediaist, here are some food shots from Kenagyville - Idaho edition.
We visited a farmer's market in Eagle last weekend and picked up some pre-made dry ingredient soups. So, Wednesday we made the Ethiopian Misr Wot (Spiced Red Lentils) jar. For dessert: Keto Snickerdoodles.

This displays a few of the apple goodies I made from the bounty off our tree.
  • apple muffins
  • Wildtree Chai Tea Mix applesauce
  • apple bread (because all my muffin tins/ cups were being used for fat bombs)
The squash is from our garden.
The sauce is made with tomatoes from our garden.
The meatballs are from the frozen section of the local Albertson's.
It's all delicious - and EASY!

Ah, good ol' chicken wings. For reals, I could have eaten the entire batch myself. Addicing little suckers.

Organic chicken wings from Costco.
A non-GMO, gluten free breading from Albertson's.
Egg wash of organic eggs and organic milk (albeit sadly ultra pasteurized).

Happy tummies!
So, for this one I harnessed my inner Brit and my palate was ever grateful. Jake made the main parts and I supplied the fresh mint sauce.
Lamb loin chops
Organic peas
Mashed potatoes
Mint sauce (made with mint
from our garden)
Combined with Humm kombucha
for the win!

It doesn't always have to be meat and potatoes. Meat and veggies works just as well.

Steak
Squash from our garden (Opa Greek seasonsing, CA Style Garlic Pepper Blend)
Organic veggies (washed in Green) from Albertson's
Organic, non-GMO Chipotle Ranch Dip from Wildtree
Pancakes & maple syrup.

Enough said.

Really, they didn't speak the whole time.

*Pamelas's Pancake Mix and Kirkland Organic Maple syrup

Super easy meal of fish, mashed potatoes, organic veggies, that delicious Wildtree Chipotle Ranch Dip.

It doesn't have to be hard, folks. Just good.
Dempsey eating wild caught cod and organic peas
Dempsey's weekly batch of smoothies
Grass fed & finished Spicy Italian Sausage (from the farmer's market) with Trader Joe's spaghetti squash pasta and organic marinara sauce

Can I just brag on my baby for a minute? Thanks. This kid eats WHATEVER we put in front of him. He doesn't always like it, and he'll let us know, but he always eats it because he knows we give him good nutrition to keep him healthy and strong. He makes wonderful food choices and has remarkable will power for such a young lad. It helps that his big bro is the same way.

I hope you enjoyed a peek into what our palates and bellies enjoy.
